And Halim and Hazlan so kindly came down on their off day just to accompany us.
And of course bring us around all the attractions for free….

So last Sat, when so coincidentally both of them were free,
we spent some quality time together.

While waiting for the bus,
we actually witnessed an accident between a motorcycle and a car.
It was quite a major accident.
Luckily, no one was seriously injured.

none of us wanted the night to end.
So off we went to my house to play Monopoly with the cousins.

Hazlan had to leave at around 2 plus.
So my bro took over his place and literally, monopolised the whole game.

The game went on till about 4am.
Ordered Mac’s breakfast and chilled till about 5 plus in the morn.
Sent the cousins off to the airport at 7am and went marketing with Mum.

Wasn’t in the mood to sheesha though.
Nazrul and the rest kindly picked me up after dinner and went to Mak’s place.

Cruising along with the music blasting.
Singing along with ur bestest peeps.

Honey! I’m Home!

Posted in Friends, Fun, Home Sweet Home, Party on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 by Syazana

It’s been awhile hasn’t it.
And its almost a month since I’ve been back home.
Gosh! And only now am I blogging about my trip back.

I arrived in sunny Singapore on the night of the 26th of Nov.
The plan was to return on the 1st of Dec.
But Mummy wanted me to come back earlier.
And I took this opportunity to surprise those back home.

Flew back taking Singapore Airlines.
Was quite excited since it will be my first time travelling alone
And flying on the all new Airbus A380.
Surprisingly, the A380 was quite a disappointment.
The leg room is comparable to any other commercial airline.
The food was disgusting and the service was atrocious.
The only difference I could spot in the A380 is that there is an extra component for your hand luggage.
Was really glad when the plane landed safely at Terminal 3 Changi International Airport.

Greeted by my mum and brother at the airport.
And went home straightaway to see my dad, grandma, family and my cat.
Started unpacking and fell asleep at around 2am.

Surprisingly, the next day I woke up at about 7am.
Must be cos of the time difference.
When straight to the salon to get my hair done,
and proceeded to carry out Surprise Mission No.1.

Halim bought my story when I told him that I couldn’t talk to him the night before as I will be staying over at Huda’s place. And when he called the next day, I was actually on my way home from the hairdresser in Singapore but told him I was on my way home from the supermarket in my suburb. Luckily, at that point of time the background noise didn’t give anything away.

The look on his face was totally classic when I surprised him at his place.
Priceless, in fact.
And the first thing that bugger said was “Eh, wrong country. Pergi balik.”
Thanks ah.
Then proceeded to hug me till I couldn’t breathe.

On the way to dinner,
called the besties.
Tried to convince them that there is a Kallang station, Lavender Station and Bugis Station in Sydney.
They almost fell for it.
But the multi-language announcements on the train was too much of a coincidence.

And since then,
I’ve been really busy.

1. Fireworks for Vivo’s 2nd Anniverasary
2. Sushi buffet with mum and bro and once again with Dewi and Aisyah.
3. Tanning with the babes.
4. Hari Raya Haji
5. Night Safari
6. BBQ with the Lambiz
7. Sentosa with the family
8. Clubbing at O-Bar with the Senoritas.

And in between all that, there were meet-ups with Andik, movies with the bestie, Guitar Hero, Wii, Fish Spa, esplanade lepaks, late night monopoly sessions till 5am, prata for supper at 2am, car rides, bus rides, and impromptu plans.

And was down with a terrible flu and cough while enjoying all these.
Next post will be updates accompanied with pictures.

You’ll Never Walk Alone

Posted in Loved Ones on Monday, December 22, 2008 by Syazana

To You whom I care for alot,

I know that you are going through a very rough patch now. It’s never easy when sickness befalls a loved one. Like how I always told you, there is always hope. And to never stop believing that things will indeed turn out for the better. You were the one who told me that Allah will only give sickness to the ones He love. And I believe that He loves your grandma a whole lot. There is no doubt about that.

Never once let your faith in Him falter. Cos He is the Almighty who has the answers to everything. To say that I know what you are going through is a cliche. Cos everyone has their own way dealing with such news. But rest assured, I will always be there every step of the way. Like how you were when I needed you the most. I know sometimes I don’t show it. I am really sorry if I’ve been temperamental and insensitive. But you do know I care. I care a whole lot.

And I am sure you know Hazlan and I love you loads. And will do anything and everything for you. You and your family are always in our prayers. And I am very sure we are not alone. There are loads out there who cares for you as well. In times like this, you will know for sure who’s there for you and who aren’t. I am not in any position to say this. But it really pains me to see you so affected by someone. Sometimes it is better to let go, although it is very difficult to. You tried your best.

You’ve always been the strong one. And for you, I shall be strong. And the Halim I know is much stronger than this. You’ve been through alot. And sometimes it doesn’t seem fair. And you tend to question the reasons why. But sometimes, the answers to these questions comes in pockets of happiness and forgiveness later in life.

So don’t give up alright. Stay strong and positive. Always remember that you’ll never walk alone.

Yours sincerely,
Syazana Mohd. Rashid

Sleepless in Sin-City

Aku akur….

Aku syukur….

Sometimes we just don’t realise who we are hurting.

Sometimes it is quite blatant.

But we choose to ignore.

I’m numb!

Right now,
A flight back to Sydney would be very much appreciated.

I’ve editted photos of what has been happening the past week.

But I am not in the mood to even post about happy stuff.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha.

I guess none of all that even matters anymore.

I’ve been lazy.
No questions about that.
It’s not that I’ve got no time no blog.
It’s just that recently I prefer to read than write.

So I shall let the pictures do the talking.

Operation Koala
This occurred quite some time back.
On the 19th of October 2008 to be exact.

To celebrate her 22nd birthday,
Tassha organised an outing to play some paintball.

The aftermath of the battle was ugly.
We went home with large rainbow coloured bruises as battle scars.
But it was definitely a really fun-citing experience.

Surfing Good Time

Like Totally….

Yes! We went SURFING!

Surfing for beginners is not cool yo!
It is really hard and the boards are like really heavy.
The waves are huge!
And it’s painful to fall into the water!
I am not kidding.
The bruises we got are testament to our predicament.

But it was definitely a worthwhile experience.

One that I will definitely cherish and add on to my Great Aussie Experience.

And it was definitely a great treat for the gruesome exams’ weeks we just had.

U’re So Gay

I know I should be studying.
But here I am watching Katy Perry on Youtube.
(Don’t u think she is so HOT!!! And I love her hair, esp her bangs.)
Must be cos we’ve been listening to too much radio.
Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Chris Brown, Leona Lewis, Jason Mraz
Over and over again.

Oh well,
I so can’t wait for Wed, 19 Nov, 11am to come.
It’s my turn for liberation.

Till then, its back to Monte Carlo, Clarkson, Convolution and Superposition.

And that person who is trekking in Taman Negara.
Come back quick!!!
And wake me up to study.
I had enough sleep alr.
And it has been awfully quiet at 3am nowadays.
This time I promise I won’t grumble.
