La La La La Pizza

Posted in Sydney Adventure on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 by Syazana

So yes, Easter break is over!
And Aishah left.
It was hard to see her go.
And for a moment after she left, my room felt so empty.
But it was GREAT FUN having her.
I hope u did too, babe…
Maybe when her plans fall through,
It will be her turn to play host. InsyaAllah

Port Stephen was AWESOME!!!!
We went horse-riding, slid down the massive sand dunes and chased after dolphins.
Beautiful beautiful beach. Might even be better than Surfer’s Paradise, I must say.
And Aishah managed to capture it all in her semi-pro Panasonic Lumix. Now I am tempted to get a semi-pro myself.
Oh and of course, no roadtrip would be complete without singing our hearts out with the windows down.
Oooo….Scary ghost stories on the drive back at night.

It hardly feels like the mid-terms are here.
Just completed a paper today.
And another on Mon.

Even then, dinner today was good.
Went over to Ashraf’s place at Arncliffe.
Cooked for us 3 different kinds of pizza and a traditional favourite, Roti John.
It was reaaallly Good! Handy to have a professional chef around huh…
Ended the night by scaring ourselves silly watching Coming Soon and Dead Silence.
I’ve always hated dolls and I still do!

And Yani, the Finnish, added chilli sauce to his coffee. WTH!
We all just stared at him. Luckily dinner was almost over.
And random fact of the day: Finnish is the second most difficult language, after Mandarin.

Oooo… The locals (Aussies) actually thought that the Singaporean accent is a joke.
One of my classmates, Nas, was telling us how he found the sitcom Under One Roof really funny and he thought that the accent was on purpose. So we had to burst the bubble and told him that that was how most Singaporeans speak. Singlish!

The weekend is here. No school till Mon. It’s Anzac Day this coming Sat. We might be heading to the city to see a march. But Yum Cha at Newtown is confirmed. Hopefully, Noorul and the rest will be able to join us. A long overdued meet-up.

So many things to do, explore, experience and so little time left! Dang!

Palatable Delights

It’s been good. No doubt.
It’s the start of the week long Easter holidays.
And started it off with having dinner at TOKO.
Fancy-schmancy shenanigan!

Week 6 is over and done with 1 proposal, 2 presentations and 1 test. Whee!
And I am only left with 8 more weeks in Guildford.
Will really MISS this home and the pple in and around it.
And then we’re (me and tsh, at least) off to Brisbane for 6 weeks for our clinical placement.

Bro came and left. Diana came and left. Recommended reading for the day.
And Aishah is on her way here!!! Literally, as we speak.
Arriving in Sydney at 0700hrs.
I really hope the weather’s kind tmr (or in fact, today).
Cos Bondi is on the itinerary.

Woohoo! I don’t have to touch my books and notes. Ok, at least not for the next few days.
Port Stephen’s on the agenda.
Coupled with Lots of photography!
And shopping!
And hours and hours of taiti.

Some people are missed!
Talking to those 2 boys makes me go frustrated, angry and loved all at the same time.
4-5 way conference is super addictive!
With Aisyah and me always caught in between.
More pls!

Beginning of the End

421

It’s the first week of uni. The beginning of the last semester. And that means summer hols is over! Yes, 3 whole months just whizzed past. Damn! I want it back.

That being said! It’s also the beginning of the end of our Sydney adventure.

The roadtrip was total awesomeness. As most of u have already seen from the tons of pics uploaded on FB.

Anyways, there is a total of 11 academic weeks this sem. Not including easter break, stuvac(study vacation) and clinicals. 6 weeks of clinicals will then officially mark the end of this adventure. Time-table is relaxed but kinda sucky. Cos on Mon I only have an hour of lecture. So I have to spent $4.80 on the train ride and a further $0.90 for the bus (and that is if I walk to the station after sch). Not a very good investment aite! As usual, no sch on Fri. A relatively short day on Tues. And manageable Weds and Thurs.

Projects and assessments are all coming in. One due next week alr. But no more holding back for this sem. It’s charge ahead full steam now! It’s the final sem! Gosh… Feels so surreal typing that out.

Bro is coming over this Sat. Staying for abt a week. And of course, it’s Mardi Gras! Woohoo…. Yay! To gay rights!

And it is the month of March! The month where all the Aisyah(s) and Aishah is born in.

Hopefully, get to visit Makcik Nad in Adelaide soon. One of these weekends, when I am not caught up.

And I really hope she will come to Sydney during the Easter break! Nad… I know u’re reading this! hehe…

What a lazy thur this has been!

And i hope it goes back to how it was! I miss the 3 of us!

Great Aussie Roadtrip

Posted in Sydney Adventure, Travels on Sunday, February 15, 2009 by Syazana

I’m off again.

This time for The Great Aussie Roadtrip.

First to Brisbane. Then to Gold Coast. Off to Melbourne and a drive along the Great Ocean Road back to Sydney.

Hopefully all goes well. No more flashfloods and bushfires.

 InsyaAllah.

See u guys next month.

Now I know why I was looking forward to coming back.

Cos I miss the girls too much. I really missed the laughters and craziness.

And since Malcolm (Tessy) is back, we are a complete family!

Welcome back Malcolm (X)!

Yea!

I’ve been lazy.
No questions about that.
It’s not that I’ve got no time no blog.
It’s just that recently I prefer to read than write.

So I shall let the pictures do the talking.

Operation Koala
This occurred quite some time back.
On the 19th of October 2008 to be exact.

To celebrate her 22nd birthday,
Tassha organised an outing to play some paintball.

paintball

The aftermath of the battle was ugly.
We went home with large rainbow coloured bruises as battle scars.
But it was definitely a really fun-citing experience.

Surfing Good Time

Like Totally….

Yes! We went SURFING!

surfing

Surfing for beginners is not cool yo!
It is really hard and the boards are like really heavy.
The waves are huge!
And it’s painful to fall into the water!
I am not kidding.
The bruises we got are testament to our predicament.

But it was definitely a worthwhile experience.

One that I will definitely cherish and add on to my Great Aussie Experience.

And it was definitely a great treat for the gruesome exams’ weeks we just had.

U’re So Gay

I know I should be studying.
But here I am watching Katy Perry on Youtube.
(Don’t u think she is so HOT!!! And I love her hair, esp her bangs.)
Must be cos we’ve been listening to too much radio.
Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Chris Brown, Leona Lewis, Jason Mraz
Over and over again.

Oh well,
I so can’t wait for Wed, 19 Nov, 11am to come.
It’s my turn for liberation.

Till then, its back to Monte Carlo, Clarkson, Convolution and Superposition.

And that person who is trekking in Taman Negara.
Come back quick!!!
And wake me up to study.
I had enough sleep alr.
And it has been awfully quiet at 3am nowadays.
This time I promise I won’t grumble.
